Confluence

Darryll Schiff: Confluence , Solo Exhibition at Koehnline Museum of Art

Darryll Schiff’s latest body of work, Confluence, shares an aesthetic relationship, with its characteristic fusion of bodies in motion, to his acclaimed series Descending to Heaven. Schiff’s camera is a tool to paint with, bend reality, and use abstractly rather than as a form of documentation. His images show a complex investigation and interpretation of our shared reality and our relationships and interactions. Noted for his distinct vision and ability to capture movement and light, Schiff’s images brilliantly serve as an expression of mankind coming together as one. An internationally recognized American contemporary artist specializing in photography, Schiff’s fine art photography is in the collections of many leading museums including the Art Institute of Chicago, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, George Eastman House in New York, Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
